Customer Experience Position Summary The Lead of Student Records and Financial Services is responsible for overseeing the integrity, accuracy, and security of student documentation and records while leading and advising financial services that support students' certification journey. This role supports daily operations, ensures compliance with student services policies and regulatory requirements, and drives process improvements across records and financial service functions. Key Responsibilities Student Records Support Oversee maintenance, authorization, and accuracy of student academic records, including enrollment agreements, transcripts, graduation data, etc. Partner with team to ensure all documentation is assessed, authorized/dismissed in alignment with SLA Ensure compliance with state and institutional regulations (e.g., FERPA) where necessary Partner with Manager of Student Services to develop and implement policies and procedures related to records management Support and own internal audits, reporting, and data integrity initiatives to ensure processes are effective and timely When necessary, collaborate and communicate with Licensing to ensure compliance expectations are understood and communicated to the Student Records team Financial Services Support Act as SME on all things financing for students Support student financial services operations, including billing, refunds, and account reconciliation Monitor student accounts and support resolution of complex financial issues Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and institutional policies Own and support the relationship with third party financial services providers Leadership & Supervision Supervise and mentor staff across records and financial services functions (3 people as of now) Set performance expectations, provide training, and conduct evaluations Foster a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement Process Improvement & Strategy Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements using data-driven insights Partner with IT and Admin development to optimize student information systems Support strategic initiatives related to enrollment management and student success Student Services, Licensing, and Finance/Accounting Support Serve as an escalation point for complex student and staff inquiries Ensure high-quality, student-centered service delivery Collaborate with Student Services Leads to ensure effective communication across teams Meet regularly with Licensing department to ensure compliance with state regulations and reporting requirements Collaborate with Finance/Accounting to help reconcile accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) if needed Qualifications Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance (billing, payments, accounts receivable, etc.), or related field or working toward a Bachelor's. 1-2+ years of experience in student records, registrar services, or student financial services preferred 2+ years of supervisory, Sr. level, or leadership experience Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., FERPA, financial compliance) Experience with student information systems and financial platforms Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and data accuracy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Leadership, coaching, and team development
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
