The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's financial reporting, general ledger integrity, and core accounting operations. This role ensures accurate, timely financial statements while maintaining strong accounting controls, policies, and procedures. The Accounting Manager partners closely with the Controller and CFO and manages key accounting functions, including accounts payable, job costing, and period-end close activities.

Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain the integrity of the general ledger, reviewing account reconciliations and ensuring proper classification of transactionsPrepare and review monthly journal entries and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processesAssist in the preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial statementsOversee Accounts Payable, job cost accounting, and check processing functionsPrepare and review monthly bank reconciliationsCommunicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding accounting changes, corrections, and reporting issuesSupport external audits by providing timely and accurate information to auditors and third-party reviewersAssist the CFO and Controller with day-to-day accounting operations and financial initiativesContinuously assess accounting processes, systems, and controls; identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and implement best practicesPerform additional accounting duties and special projects as assignedSupervisory ResponsibilitiesManage and develop staff within the Accounting function, providing guidance, oversight, and performance leadership
