Salary Range:
$80,000-$90,000 per year , depending on experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors.What You'll Do:
Oversee daily accounting operations, including Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Flow, and Contract and Subcontract Administration. Support the Head of Accounting with monthly close processes for the parent company and its subsidiaries. Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements, including job schedules, AP and AR schedules, and labor reports. Maintain the general ledger, including recurring and one-time journal entries, inter-company entries, and accruals. Assist with management reports, quarterly consolidation, and regulatory reporting. Manage cash forecasting and support effective cash management. Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis for operations management. Support year-end financial review activities and collaborate with LCG's external accounting firm. Ensure accounting and financial processes are consistently followed across all companies to maintain accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls. Collaborate with leadership to develop accountability systems and controls that help prevent errors and ensure compliance with financial laws and regulations. Communicate regularly with the CEO/Principal and Leadership Group to establish priorities and support the strategic financial goals of the companies. Promote and support our Safety for Life culture by maintaining a strong focus on the safety and well-being of employees and trade partners. Provide backup support for Accounts Payable, including subcontractor/vendor invoice entry, payment timing forecasts, and vendor inquiry follow-up.What You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA license in Virginia is a plus. 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience; experience in commercial construction is preferred. Exceptional knowledge of accounting and financial principles, regulations, and best practices. Strong understanding of GAAP. Proven leadership skills with the ability to communicate plans, motivate others, instill company values, and achieve objectives as a team. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to plan and prioritize effectively. Strong and consistent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to balance flexibility with reliability and consistency while maintaining the highest level of integrity. Ability to follow established procedures, ask questions when needed, and effectively set priorities. Ability to work collaboratively with employees at all levels of the organization. A strong learning orientation and willingness to pursue ongoing educational and training opportunities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications, especially Excel. Ability and willingness to learn and become proficient with new technology solutions. Knowledge of CMiC is desirable.Why You'll Love It Here:
