Process all accounts payable transactions for Client and subsidiaries, which includes reviewing each request for authorization, correcting general ledger account number, cost center, sales and use taxes and any applicable discounts. Ensure all invoices are reviewed based on control structure pre-post batch expense processing for all companies.
Cultivate a positive working relationship with the entire department in order to identify, develop, and recommend revisions of internal standards, policies, operating procedures, and new processes to improve efficiencies ensuring that all teammates are properly cross trained to provide back-up when neededAssists in the hiring of all Accounts Payable SpecialistsProactively identify and assist in implementation of process improvement opportunitiesEnsuring department procedures are updated and adhered to in accordance with the Enterprise Policy and Procedure GovernanceEnsure the 1099 process is completed timely and accuratelyCreate and maintain desk top procedures for the various AP functionsAssists with internal and external audit requestsResearch, analyze and resolve accounting issues involving teammate and vendor paymentsAssist with onboarding new entities in the event of an acquisition or creation of a legal entity. Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations governing bank operations, including compliance with Client's BSA/AML Policy and Procedures.
Moderate written, oral and interpersonal communication skills necessary to provide detailed information and courteous responses to teammates and vendors.

This position is responsible for directing and organizing the day-to-day activities of the Accounts Payable team. The Supervisor establishes service levels, maintains controls, and manages risk in accordance with bank policies and procedures. This individual is responsible for identifying and assisting with implementing process improvements that support scalability and operational efficiency, while ensuring all supporting documentation, policies, and procedures remain accurate, current, and compliant.Position Accountabilities:

QualificationsPosition Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Associate's degree in accounting or equivalent work experience. Two or more years of Accounting or Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a financial institution.Knowledge & Skills:
Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to lead othersWorking knowledge of an automated Accounts Payable system - Concur is preferredAdvanced math and moderate accounting skillsBasic analytical and problem-solving skillsWilling to support teammates and be a team playerFlexible, able to adapt to change and learn quicklyModerate PC skills including 10-key touch, keyboarding Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel and automated accounting applications.Moderate written, oral and interpersonal communication skills necessary to provide detailed information and courteous responses to teammates and vendors.
