Job Summary The Hill City Howlers are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior Director of Revenue Generation to lead our sales department. This full-time position is responsible for leading a sales department consisting of Director of Corporate Partnerships, Director of Group Partnerships, a Box Office Manager/Ticket Sales Manager, Director of Catering, and a stable of sales coordinators. The ideal candidate will also generate revenue through corporate partnerships, community relations, group tickets, season tickets, non-game day events, and new initiatives set forth by Senior Management.
POSITION SUMMARY
In addition to established accounts, The Senior Director of Revenue Generation is responsible for new business revenue by prospecting and selling Hill City Howlers advertising assets and in-season and out of season events by utilizing and empowering the sales department in and around the greater Lynchburg MSA. The Senior Director of Revenue Generation will also be responsible for forecasting, reporting, and updating sales numbers to present to Senior Management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties to include, but not limited to the following: Meet or exceed yearly sales goals as established by Senior Management. Research and identify potential categories and specific companies to target via direct phone contact, email, networking, and events. Prospect and qualify all potential sales opportunities. Work in close collaboration with the marketing team to develop proposals and fulfillment/activation of negotiated deals. Present customized sponsorship proposals that are tailored to the prospects' needs. Assist retention and revenue growth efforts during renewal campaigns. Represent the Howlers professionally at community events and networking functions. Maintain and accurately track sales activities through appropriate software (currently ScoreCRM). Coordinate with the box office manager to create ticket packages and sellable inventory in Tickets.com (TDC). In consultation with management, Hire, Train, and Manage and maintain an appropriately sized sales team. Actively create, uncover, and pursue new revenue streams to facilitate year-round business activities. Other special projects and duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in business, marketing, or communications. Minimum 7-years of sports sales or relevant experience. Excellent relationship building, interpersonal and communication skills.

Must be proficient in computer software including Microsoft Suite. Ability to multi-task and work under pressure, managing multiple projects, schedules, budgets, and clients at the same time Strong time management skills Must be able to commit to long work hours when necessary to reach goals. Attendance at Howlers home games and other organizational events is required. Hunter style salesperson, taking ownership of the entire sales process for prospecting, cold calling, meeting, and closing.
