Job Description
The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the financial and operational functions of the University Ticket Center while providing comprehensive accounting and financial reporting support for Auxiliary Services. This position oversees ticketing operations, administers the University's ticketing services contract, performs account reconciliations, prepares financial reports, monitors budgets, manages accounts receivable, and ensures compliance with university policies and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). The position serves as a key financial resource to Auxiliary Services by analyzing fiscal data, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting sound financial decision-making.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, or fiscal administration.
- Experience performing account reconciliations, financial analysis, and budget monitoring.
- Experience using computerized accounting and financial management systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting established deadlines.
Additional Considerations:
- Experience with ticketing or event management systems.
- Proven ability to supervise staff and manage organizational resources effectively.
- Ability to interpret and implement policies, procedures, and contractual requirements.
