Type:

full-time Seeking an experienced Interim Finance Manager to provide leadership and continuity for a manufacturing facility in Hopewell, VA during a leadership transition. This role will oversee plant accounting, cost accounting, inventory accounting, forecasting, planning, financial reporting, and month-end close activities while partnering closely with operations and finance leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead plant-level cost accounting, inventory accounting, WIP accounting, and standard costing activities. Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, reserves, and financial reporting. Support forecasting, budgeting, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and variance analysis. Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Engineering to evaluate production, inventory, and cost performance. Support physical inventory counts, inventory valuation, reserve assessments, and manufacturing cost analysis. Develop process documentation, desk procedures, and training materials to ensure business continuity and successful knowledge transfer. Assist with onboarding and training of the permanent Finance Manager.

Qualifications:

3+ years of senior-level accounting/finance professional with manufacturing industry experience. Strong background in cost accounting, inventory accounting, standard costing, WIP, forecasting, and financial analysis. Experience supporting monthly and quarterly close processes. Advanced SAP experience required. Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and business partnering skills. Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
