Accounting Manager Reports To Chief Executive Officer Supervises Accounting Specialist Future finance and accounting personnel assigned Position Summary The Finance Manager is responsible for leading the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, revenue assurance, profitability analysis, and financial controls. This role serves as the financial leader for the organization, providing accurate financial reporting, meaningful business insights, and strategic recommendations that support growth, profitability, and operational decision-making. The Finance Manager ensures the integrity of financial systems while driving MSP-specific financial initiatives such as client profitability analysis, pricing reviews, recurring revenue assurance, project financial oversight, vendor cost optimization, and executive KPI reporting. Essential Responsibilities Financial Management & Accounting Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, billing, payroll coordination, financial reporting, and month-end close. Ensure accurate financial records and compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Establish and maintain effective internal controls and financial processes. Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning activities. Process multi-state monthly and quarterly tax payments and review and approve all payroll tax and sales tax filings Coordinate annual income tax returns preparation and external financial reporting with outside CPA firm Revenue & Profitability Management Own recurring revenue assurance processes, including periodic audits of managed service agreements and licensing. Develop and maintain client, service, and project profitability reporting. Provide analysis and recommendations related to pricing, margins, contract performance, and revenue optimization. Identify opportunities to improve profitability and eliminate revenue leakage. Financial Reporting & Business Intelligenc e Deliver weekly and monthly financial reporting to leadership. Maintain dashboards and KPI reporting related to financial performance, recurring revenue, profitability, collections, growth, and client health. Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making. Project & Vendor Financial Oversight Monitor project financial performance, including labor utilization, margins, scope changes, and overall profitability. Review major vendor expenses, licensing costs, and contract commitments to identify savings opportunities and margin improvements. Support procurement, sales, and operations with financial analysis and recommendations. Leadership & Team Development Supervise and develop the Accounting Specialist. Establish priorities, goals, and performance expectations for finance staff. Participate in hiring, coaching, performance management, and departmental planning. Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on financial matters and business performance. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 5+ years of accounting, finance, or financial management experience. 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills. Preferred Experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or recurring revenue business model. CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification. Experience with profitability analysis, pricing strategy, and KPI reporting
Pay:
$85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
