Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team and ensure the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of our financial operations. Manage the Monthly Close Process and Pre-Audit Preparation Review and reconcile all balance sheet accounts and select other accounts on a monthly basis according to standards established by the Director of Finance, bringing unusual activity to the attention of the Director of Finance Prepare journal entries as necessary to correct accounts and allocate activity. Prepare monthly reconciliations and journal entries for all recurring electronic payment services Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and provide clerical support and facilitation for all banking activities. Prepare periodic financial reports under the direction of the Director of Finance for a wide variety of users. Remain current as a backup for the preparation of monthly financial statements for the Board of Trustees, periodically reviewing the process developed and followed by the Director of Finance. In coordination with the Director of Finance, prepare worksheets and risk assessments annually for the financial audit. Assist with the preparation of the annual financial reports related to the state DPI Food Service programs. Oversee the Scrip Program Supervise the Scrip program and staff. Establish and maintain Scrip program volunteer expectations. Reconcile Scrip inventory and prepare and process monthly credit reports. Lead the Scrip Action & Advisory Committee and maintain the Scrip portion of the organization's website. Oversee Bi-monthly Payroll Processing Analyze, prepare and accurately input all payroll data and maintain backup documentation. Provide bac support to all employees regarding approved payroll procedures and practices. Identify staff who are struggling to adhere to these procedures. Monitor time and attendance requests. Reconcile with payroll data. Review and approve bi-weekly payroll Review the data for W-2 processing at year end.
