Business Office Reports to:Chief Financial Officer Position Overview :
The Business Office Operations Associate plays a key role in The Gregory School's business, administrative, and human resources operations, coordinating and collaborating with both internal and external constituents to support the health and success of The Gregory School's business proceedings.Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare tax returns, support financial audits, and provide strategic business advice
- Process payroll and general ledger including entries for credit cards, prepare bank deposits, and bank reconciliations
- Perform accurate data entry, assist with 403 b audit, complete annual DASL entries, complete the annual filing of W-2's and 1095c's, and run routine operational reports
- Oversee employee benefit payments, process new employee paperwork, background checks, and annual re-enrollment for employee benefits
- Complete daily clerical tasks, manage office correspondence, maintain organized digital and physical filing systems, and update databases
- Create faculty/staff contracts and faculty accruals
- Maintain the posting of job descriptions and the distribution of new applications for positions
- Support Interim Trip payments and processing
- Optimize internal workflows and procedures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
- 1-3 years of professional experience in business operations or a similar role
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Payroll processing software
- Strong organizational abilities, high attention to detail, flexibility to collaborate, and clear verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information
