Classification Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and three years of general accounts transaction experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for required experience. The Fiscal Assistant II provides advanced transactional and operational fiscal support to the Levin College of Law, leading daily financial processing activities including accounts payable, deposits, journal entries, and other financial transactions. This position supports vendor and contract management, monitors financial activity, assists with reporting and compliance functions, and ensures adherence to University, state, and federal financial regulations. Operating with moderate independence, the role exercises sound judgment in resolving routine fiscal matters, escalating complex issues as appropriate, and delivering exceptional customer service to faculty, staff, vendors, and other stakeholders while maintaining efficient and accurate financial operations. Daily Financial Processing Lead daily financial processing operations for the College. Process invoices, payments, and requisitions in the UF Marketplace system. Prepare and process journal entries and other financial transactions. Process and record deposits, ensuring accurate coding and timely posting. Manage the Accounts Payable inbox and escalate issues as necessary, with timely and efficient turnaround timelines Reporting & Account Monitoring Generate and distribute monthly P-Card reconciliation reports while maintaining compliance with university policy Maintain and monitor PDA balances for faculty and staff. Run financial reports and provide support to the Associate Director of Finance with internal and external reporting Prepare Travel, Expense Reports, and General Reimbursement reports for staff in UFGo. Review account activity and identify discrepancies for escalation. Vendor & Contract Administration Manage vendor relationships, including registration and maintenance. Coordinate and manage all contracts, including new agreements and renewals. Compliance & Process Improvement Ensure adherence to federal, state, and University financial regulations. Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Other Administrative Task Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Provide back-up support to other administrative and financial staff within the college and departments as needed. Participate in department-specific training and development opportunities to enhance job performance.

Expected Salary:

$23.94/hr minimum. Commensurate on qualifications and experience

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent and three years of general accounts transaction experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for required experience.

Preferred:
  • Experience with UF financial systems (myUFL, UFGO, Marketplace) or similar systems
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and data management skills.
