Brown & Brown is seeking a Finance and Operations Specialist to join our growing team in Alpharetta , GA! In this role, you will assist the accounting leader to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities, including payroll, within the Profit Center. This position will also assist in overseeing the general office operations and be the point of contact for all Team Resources (HR) functions in the Profit Center.
How You Will Contribute:
Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Report to Accounting leader regarding the finances of establishment. Prepare payroll and accurately and assist in timely document HR records in accordance with company standards. Assist in executing Team Resources duties to include guidance to Profit Center leadership team and employees with regard to resolution of employee relations issues, processing all employment transactions, monitoring statutory compliance, managing leaves of absence and sourcing assistance from the Brown & Brown Team Resources office when necessary. Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology. Assist AL to develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs. Assist AL to Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice. Advise Accounting leader about issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies, and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts. Appraise, evaluate, and inventory real property and equipment, recording information such as the description, value and location of property. Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, or maintain solutions to business and financial problems. Lead the effort to reconcile Insurance company payables and make timely payment to carriers Reconcile the Pursue a program of personal professional development. Other duties as assigned. Skills & Experience to be
Successful:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or a closely related discipline (preferred) Minimum of one to two years related experience (preferred) MS Office products (EXCEL, Word, Access) Familiarity with enterprise systems such as ADP or similar Experience in an agency managements system such as Applied or AMS Teammate Benefits & Total Well-Being We go beyond standard benefits, focusing on the total well-being of our teammates, including:
