Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. Tax Preparation experience helpful. In this vital role, you will manage a wide range of accounting functions to ensure accurate financial record-keeping and compliance with industry standards. Your expertise will support our organization's financial health by maintaining precise ledgers, reconciling accounts, and preparing essential financial reports. Responsibilities Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms. Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliation to ensure accuracy across all financial statements. Conduct bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations regularly to verify account balances. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections. Prepare detailed financial reports, including budgets, financial statements, and audit documentation in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Assist with governmental accounting requirements and tax filings as needed. Qualifications Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles within corporate or non-profit environments. Strong proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks , Xero, Sage, or similar platforms; familiarity with Quicken is a plus. Knowledge of GAAP standards, double-entry bookkeeping, and technical accounting concepts. Experience with bank reconciliation, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger management. Ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently for data entry tasks. Familiarity with governmental accounting practices and tax experience is desirable. Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills for account analysis and account reconciliation.
