Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY
The purpose of this job is to perform financial functions required to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the financial unit. Performs accounting functions and maintains accurate financial records by monitoring, reviewing, and completing monthly reconciliations on assigned accounts. Provides training to new hires in all positions. With full working knowledge of all positions within the department, I serve as backup support. Assists in supervising the financial unit of the Friend of the Court (FOC). Provides guidance and direction through analysis and communication with program staff, along with providing financial information and advising for decision-making bodies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitors evaluates, and ensures case accuracy and focus on departmental goals. Provides training and backup support to all positions in the financial department as needed. Evaluates funds in suspense holds; identifies, updates, and resolves issues. Respond to accounting inquiries and provide resources to resolve concerns or changes to the case. Updates existing written instructions when changes in procedures or system updates occur. Serves as backup to the Supervisor-FOC Finance Services in their absence. Attends quarterly and annual Federally required training. Performs related work as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience At least two years of relevant college-level course work or an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field 3 to 5 years of related work experience, such as in Accounting or Finance Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities. Pay Scale-106E Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
