Eligibility Specialist/Financial Counselor Ozarks Healthcare

• Patient Financial Services West Plains , MO Clerical Full Time , Days , 40 Req # 9282 This position will be responsible for providing the service of screening and applying for Missouri Medicaid for qualifying inpatients and Emergency Room patients. Patient cases will be tracked and followed through the eligibility process. Multiple platforms are utilized for verifying eligibility, submitting documentation, and finding status of Missouri Medicaid. This role is also responsible for providing estimates for surgical procedures and securing payment arrangements according to organizational policy. When Medicaid is not available, this team member will screen for the financial assistance program and assist the patient in completing the application. Must be able to communicate effectively in person, in writing, and on the phone. Excellent customer service is an expectation.
