We are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented Accounting Team Lead to support the financial and administrative operations of our growing organization. This is an ideal opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys digging into numbers, improving processes, and supporting operational leaders through accurate reporting and financial insights. While this position does not have direct reports, it serves as a key resource to leadership and plays an important role in maintaining the financial health and efficiency of the business. Position Summary The Accounting Team Lead will be responsible for financial reporting, Accounts Receivable commission calculations, timesheet review and validation, monthly reconciliations, operational analysis, and various administrative functions. This role also oversees fleet administration and supports company leaders with financial information needed to make informed business decisions. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and a business-minded approach to problem solving. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain financial reports, spreadsheets, and operational analyses. Calculate and verify employee commissions accurately and timely. Review and audit timesheets for accuracy and completeness. Assist with month-end reconciliations and financial close activities. Analyze financial trends, variances, operational performance metrics, and job costing information to evaluate project performance, track margins, and ensure accurate cost allocation. Ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and organized. Manage company fleet administration, including vehicle records, registrations, fuel card tracking, maintenance coordination, and reporting. Maintain various operational and financial tracking systems. Support leadership with ad hoc reporting and special projects. Assist with process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy. Coordinate with operations, service, sales, and leadership teams to provide financial support and business insights. Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and employee information. Ensure adherence to company policies and financial procedures. Maintain accurate documentation and audit-ready records. Assist leadership in identifying opportunities to strengthen internal controls and operational efficiencies. Required Experience 3+ years of accounting, finance, business operations, or related experience. Strong experience working with financial data and reporting. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivots, lookups, and data analysis. Experience calculating commissions, incentives, or compensation structures preferred. Experience reviewing timesheets and labor reporting preferred. Preferred Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Experience within the HVAC, construction, home services, or trade industries is highly preferred. Familiarity with ServiceTitan, accounting software, or similar business systems. Familiarity with Intaact Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong financial and analytical mindset. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to identify trends and make data-driven recommendations. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong problem-solving abilities.
