Job Description

Deaconess Pregnancy & Adoption is looking for a caring, motivated individual to join our team. We are searching for a Business & Financial Specialist who is well-versed in bookkeeping and non-profit accounting and has a heart for our mission. The position performs general accounting/bookkeeping, administrative, and office management support, such as purchasing, accounts payable/receivable, and reporting. This is a full-time position with benefits. The work schedule is traditional office hours with occasional evening/weekend events throughout the year. A Business & Financial Specialist must be: Attentive to detail and able to work with minimum supervision.
Able to multi-task:
the role manages aspects related to all agency programs. Able to prioritize tasks relevant to deadlines, urgency, and importance. Positive and caring in their attitude and actions toward others. Strong in communication skills both verbally and in writing. A team player and willing to adapt to meet the needs of the organization. Able to communicate the agency's mission and services in the community. Applicants must be willing to support and uphold the mission and values of the organization. An associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field with a minimum of 2-3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience is required. Applicant must have experience with accounting software (QuickBooks Online or similar) and expense software (Ramp or similar). Additionally, understanding of nonprofit accounting principles and accrual accounting strongly preferred. $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
