Overview:
Financial Service Specialist Remote opportunity on the Centralized Authorizations team! Do you have strong attention to detail and great communication skills? The Financial Services Specialist is responsible for accurately identifying and registering patient insurance and benefit details while safeguarding protected health information (PHI). This role interacts with patients using system tools to gather information, explain financial responsibilities, and guide those needing financial assistance . The Financial Services Specialist may also generate insurance and self-pay estimates to ensure efficient, timely processing before services are provided. Provides financial education and/or financial assistance opportunities to consumers prior to services being rendered Collects balances or other monies due at time of pre-registration process Creates self-pay and insurance estimates Remote schedule opportunity candidates in the Hampton Roads area (Virginia). Must be able to get to the Independence area of Virginia Beach as required. Other Requirements Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Very strong attention to detail Ability to enter and manage sensitive personal and financial information Virginia Remote/best qualified candidates will be available to work at the VB office when necessary to provide team building or education Education High school graduate or equivalent (Required) Experience 6 months' related experience such as customer service, medical office setting, other healthcare or revenue cycle/billing setting (Required) Insurance experience strongly preferredSkills:
