Position Overview This position provides budgetary, financial, and analytical support to the UNT System Information Technology organization. The position assists in the development, monitoring, and forecasting of operating and capital budgets; prepares financial analyses and reports; and supports strategic decision-making by the Chief Information Officer and IT leadership team. The position reports to the Senior Director of IT Finance and Vendor Management and serves as a key resource for financial planning, budget management, and technology investment analysis. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field, and three years of accounting, financial analysis or closely related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Skills in collecting and analyzing data. Knowledge of budgetary principles, practices and procedures. Ability to prepare concise reports. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form . Knowledge of electronic information systems and accounting systems. Preferred Qualifications Required License/Registration/Certifications Job Duties Perform financial forecasting, variance analysis, and budget-to-actual reporting. Prepare business cases and return-on-investment analyses for technology initiatives. Support vendor contract budgeting, renewals, and financial impact assessments. Monitor and analyze expenditures associated with software, hardware, cloud, and managed service contracts. Develop executive dashboards and presentations for IT leadership and governance groups. Assist with financial planning for technology refresh, infrastructure, and strategic initiatives. Coordinate annual budget development activities and long-range financial planning efforts. Conduct benchmarking and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Ensure compliance with university, state, and regulatory financial requirements. Other duties as assigned.
