Job Description

What We Need
Corpay is currently looking to hire a Senior Financial Operations Specialist within our Corpay Payables division. This position falls under our Paymerang line of business and is located in Richmond, VA. In this role, you will execute the core payment process, including batch review, funding verification, file creation, reconciliation tasks, and exception handling. The Senior Financial Operations Specialist processes ACH and check processing, card cancellations/reissues, refunds, and client/vendor communication while supporting treasury‑aligned activities such as NOC handling and outstanding item follow‑up. You will report directly to the Vice President of Banking and Financial Operations and regularly collaborate with various internal departments. How We Work
As a Senior Financial Operations Specialist, you will be expected to work in a hybrid environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing: Assigned workspace in Richmond, VA

Formal, hands-on training Role Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role will include: Running the payment process multiple times per day; ensure proper funding and accurate file generation for ACH, checks, and cards.
Processing money‑movement tasks including stops/voids, ACH refunds, canceled cards, and returned payments.
Reconciling outstanding checks; review NOCs and resolve routine exceptions.
Providing professional customer service via phone and email to clients and vendors.
Tracking operational metrics and maintaining accurate records in accordance with procedures.
Collaborating with IT on system issues or process improvement opportunities.
Following documented procedures and compliance requirements, including data‑privacy/PHI handling where applicable. Competencies
Technical Payment processing (ACH/check/card) and exception handling
Accuracy and attention to detail
System navigation in bank portals and reconciliation tools Operational Time management across multi‑cycle daily processing
Issue resolution and appropriate escalation
Compliance and control awareness Behavioral Customer service and professional communication
Teamwork and collaboration
Proactive identification of red flags in data/funding Qualifications & Skills Bachelor s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong written communication and computer skills
Excel competency
3-5 years relevant experience preferred
