Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to support insurance-related financial reporting activities in Hartford, Connecticut. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for a senior-level candidate who brings deep expertise in statutory reporting for Property & Casualty operations and can deliver accurate, timely financial statements. The role requires strong judgment, a sharp analytical mindset, and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced reporting environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation and review of statutory financial reports for Property & Casualty insurance entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Oversee the completion of Yellow Book filings and related annual statement materials within established deadlines.
  • Manage reporting processes using annual statement software such as ORG or comparable platforms to produce complete and reliable submissions.
  • Analyze financial data, identify reporting issues, and resolve discrepancies through detailed review and collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Provide manager-level oversight for reporting deliverables, maintaining high standards for quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support annual and periodic financial reporting activities, including documentation, reconciliations, and submission readiness.
  • Apply strong attention to detail when reviewing schedules, disclosures, and supporting workpapers to ensure reporting integrity.
  • Adapt quickly to new tools, requirements, and reporting priorities while maintaining continuity across critical financial reporting cycles.
