Job Description
Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Financial Services Representative to support a higher education client. This is a 6-month onsite contract in Riverside.

Responsibilities include:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for students, parents, staff, and campus visitors, responding to questions related to student accounts, billing, financial aid, and university services via phone, email, and in person.
- Resolve student account issues, including payment discrepancies, account charges, financial aid disbursements, outstanding balances, and collections-related inquiries.
- Create account statements, monitor receivable balances, and communicate with students regarding past-due accounts and payment responsibilities.
- Process and manage student deferments, sponsor payments, military-funded payments, third-party contracts, returned payments, rejected refunds, and stop-payment requests.
- Review eligibility documentation and reconcile incoming wire transfers and other payments to ensure accurate account balances and financial records.
- Utilize knowledge of FERPA regulations to appropriately communicate sensitive student account information and maintain compliance with privacy requirements.

https://insightglobal.com/workforce-privacy-policy/. Skills and Requirements- 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, collections, account reconciliation, statement generation, and account balance management.
- 1+ year of experience working in a higher education environment or supporting student accounts, with knowledge of FERPA regulations and student privacy requirements.
- Experience using automated billing, accounts receivable, ERP, or student information systems (Banner, CASHNet, PeopleSoft, or similar).
- 2+ years of customer service experience supporting customers, students, parents, or internal stakeholders via phone, email, and in person.
- Experience researching and resolving billing discrepancies, payment issues, account holds, refunds, and account inquiries with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information, payment options, and university policies in a clear and professional manner.
