Job Description

Overview United Community is looking for a Relationship Manager to provide lending functions in compliance with financial institution policies and procedures. Develop customer relationships to include all deposit products and credit services. Support all company lines of business with referrals and sales opportunities. What You'll Do
  • Be familiar with bank products and services and look for opportunities to develop new customer relationships and strengthen existing ones using United's need-based sales approach
  • Interview consumer loan applicants and request specified information for loan applications
  • Accept loan applications and notify applicants of loan decisions
  • Order credit reports and recommend loan terms
  • Review, analyze, and process consumer lending requests in compliance with policies
  • Work past dues, loan exceptions, and criticized asset reports
  • Develop and maintain interest rate structure consistent with bank policies
  • Use independent judgment and discretion based on assigned lending authority
  • Stay abreast of current and developing regulations applicable to lending
  • Provide efficient, accurate, and high-quality service while maintaining good customer relations
  • Support others through mentoring and attending sales and developmental meetings
  • Attend and serve in community functions, boards, and committees as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements For Success Required Skills/Experience/Education:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related area preferred
  • Experience in a financial institution preferred
  • Basic understanding of financial institution products and services
  • Knowledge of consumer credit structuring, lending practices, and customer relationship management
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
  • Proven leadership ability and sharp business development focus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Must complete all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training
  • NMLS # initial registration and annual renewal required (includes fingerprinting and background checks Conditions of Employment
  • Must be able to pass a background & credit check
  • This is a full-time position requiring schedule flexibility for evenings and weekends
  • Up to 10% travel required
