Full Job Description Business Banking Operations Manager Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The Business Banking Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational functions that support GECU's Business Banking division. This role ensures efficient processes, regulatory compliance, and exceptional member service through the management of account operations, loan servicing, and support functions. The manager will lead a team focused on accuracy, timeliness, and risk mitigation while collaborating with sales and credit teams to deliver a seamless experience for business members. Essential Responsibilities:
Develop and execute operational strategy for Business Banking in alignment with GECU's strategic plan. Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Business Banking processes, workflows, and policies. Manage day-to-day operations for business deposit accounts and Treasury Management products & services, including account opening, maintenance, and servicing. Ensure operational readiness for new commercial lending products and digital solutions. Act as Business Line resource for questions about operations policies and procedures. Serve as a liaison between partnering lines of business/departments. Responsible for reviewing, revising, writing and implementing new policies and procedures. Conduct operational audits and compliance reviews to ensure compliance of regulatory, security and internal controls. Acts as the point person for all new and current operational procedures. Possess expert level knowledge of platforms and systems essential to Business Banking including, but not limited to: DNA, Abrigo, Business Online Banking, and Meridian Link. Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, including KYC, BSA/AML, and internal policies. Implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure adherence to GECU policies and best practices. Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with relevant regulations (NCUA, BSA/AML, Reg B, UCC, etc.) Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and member experience Collaborate with IT, Digital, and Data teams to enhance automation, digitization, and workflow efficiency. Identify and implement system enhancements, integrations, and vendor solutions to support operations. Leverage data to improve decision-making, process visibility, and operational performance. Lead, coach, and develop operations staff to achieve performance goals and maintain high service standards. Foster culture of accountability, collaboration, and member service excellence. Oversee team member onboarding, training, succession planning and performance management for Business Banking. Work closely with Business Banking Relationship Managers, Credit Analysts, and other departments to ensure smooth onboarding and servicing of business members. Support sales initiatives by providing operational expertise and timely execution. Effectively communicate operational concerns, trends, and changes of policies, processes, and procedures to team members across the organization Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred Minimum of Five (5) years of experience in Business Banking, Commercial Banking, or Financial Institution Operations, with direct responsibility for operational functions such as deposit operations, treasury management, and/or loan servicing. Three (3) or more years of management or team leadership experience overseeing operations staff, workflows, or business line support teams. Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and maintaining operational policies, procedures, and internal controls within a regulated financial institution. Proven experience ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, including BSA/AML, KYC, Reg B, UCC, and applicable regulatory guidance (e.g., NCUA or equivalent). Hands-on experience with commercial banking systems and platforms such as DNA, Abrigo, Business Online Banking, Meridian Link, or comparable technologies. Experience leading or supporting process improvement initiatives, audits, system enhancements, and operational risk mitigation efforts. Experience partnering cross-functionally with Business Banking, Credit, IT, Digital, Risk, and Compliance teams to support onboarding, servicing, and sales execution. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of Business Banking operational practices, including business deposit account opening and maintenance, treasury management services, and commercial loan servicing support. Thorough understanding of regulatory compliance, risk management, and internal control requirements applicable to business banking operations. Ability to design, implement, and continuously improve operational workflows with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and member experience. Demonstrated leadership ability to coach, develop, and manage staff while fostering accountability, collaboration, and service excellence. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Proven project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. High level of proficiency with core banking systems, operational platforms, and digital tools, with the ability to identify enhancement and automation opportunities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate policies, procedures, and operational changes across the organization.
