Self Pay Representative We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Self Pay Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist patients with their self-pay accounts, ensuring accurate billing, payment processing, and excellent customer service throughout the payment process. Responsibilities Contact patients with self-pay accounts to discuss outstanding balances and payment options. Assist patients in setting up payment plans and provide information on financial assistance programs. Process payments accurately and update patient accounts accordingly. Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing statements, charges, and payment policies. Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure account accuracy. Maintain detailed records of patient communications and payment arrangements. Follow up on overdue accounts and escalate issues as necessary. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies related to patient billing and collections. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred. Previous experience in medical billing, collections, or customer service preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality and professionalism. Proficient in using billing software and Microsoft Office applications. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Work Environment This position typically operates in an office environment with standard business hours. Some remote work options may be available depending on company policy.
