JOB SUMMARY
Identify, recruit, and retain profitable customers. Evaluate the financial condition of individuals and businesses applying for credit with CBTx. Represent CBTx by actively participating in the marketing and business development programs of the bank.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop new business and cross sell bank products and services through contacts with prospects and existing customers. 2. Interview loan applicants and collect and analyze financial and related data to determine the general creditworthiness of a prospect and the merits of a specific loan request. 3. Approve loans up to a limit established by policy and serve as the contact officer on loans assigned. Prepare credit memorandums with recommendations for committee action on those credits which require committee approval. 4. Spread and analyze financial statements, study and evaluate the information and make loan recommendations to management. 5. Negotiates credit rates and terms, as well as the collateral specifications. Also informs borrowers of loan commitments. 6. Perform inspections and evaluations of collateral as required by the Bank's lending policy. 7. Coordinates and assists in the closing of commercial and consumer loans. 8. Monitor loan repayment activities and take necessary action to collect from past due accounts. Prepare recommendations where appropriate for re-negotiation or re-structuring of terms on those credits exhibiting problem characteristics. Monitor the overall quality of the assigned portfolio and report those credits exhibiting problem characteristics to management. 9. Structure and complete various documents generated by the lending process. Monitor compliance with loan policy and applicable laws and regulations. Secure insurance on collateral, if required. 10. Manages financial information of customers to insure current reports, statements, accounts receivable information and other information is collected on a timely basis. 11. Notifies his or her supervisor of all significant or material matters that come to his or her attention concerning work assigned, business opportunities for CBTx, or unusual risks. 12. Participate in community affairs to increase the Bank's visibility. 13. Complies with all lawful and clearly stated instructions, as well as the policies and procedures of CBTx. 14. Makes no request or demand upon any other employee or customer of CBTx for anything that would be unlawful, unethical, unprofessional, immoral, or in violation of any policy or procedure of CBTx. 15. Is loyal in all fiducial relationships concerning CBTx and acts appropriately to account for and protect all property and money received, entrusted by, or paid out on behalf of CBTx. 16. Uses reasonable diligence and skill in performing duties and work assigned. 17. Performs special projects and other duties as assigned. 19.
Compliance:
Knowledge of Bank policies and procedures and regulatory compliance laws. Completes all compliance training as scheduled. Follows bank policies and procedures consistent with regulatory compliance in all situations and activities performed. Properly document any exception to the Bank policy and procedures, including any exception to regulatory compliance requirements. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in business management or administration, or five years of banking experience preferred. Ability to direct the activities of others and to provide training and education to others preferred.
STANDARD KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Knowledge of CBTx products, services, and operational procedures. Bilingual ability a plus.
