Job Description
General Responsibilities The responsibility of the Insurance Services Support Intern is to provide all aspects of support to financial representatives to ensure their focus remains on meeting with clients and potential clients. This position will also support an already functioning planning team. The Support Intern subscribes to the philosophy, principles and practices of Northwestern Mutual and the Network Office. Specific responsibilities include, but will not be limited to: Financial Representative Support
- Prepare desk/workspace for representatives before they start training classes.
- Create and maintain digital client files.
- Input data into client database.
- Conduct regular group and one-on-one meetings with assigned representatives.
- Manage applications through the underwriting process.
- Pre-fill applications
- Pre-check applications for completeness and accuracy and submit
- Schedule requirements and medical exams
- Monitor Daily Status Report (DSR) and take action on cases needing attention
- Process client service requests; including, but not limited to, address changes and billing account information.
- Partner with the Home Office Financial Planning Services Department (FPS) to request high quality, life-stage appropriate plans.
- Review all home office communications and assist financial representatives with timely, effective responses to expedite underwriting decisions.
- Work with fellow team members and agency leadership to determine training and support needs of the college financial representative. Insurances Services Support
- Maintain adequate coverage for all new financial advisors through cross-training and back-up of fellow team members.
- Provide feedback for financial representative board of reviews.
- Other projects as assigned by management. Qualifications
