The Screening Analyst supports compliance and operations by reviewing and investigating name screening alerts tied to customer accounts and transactions. This role plays a critical part in identifying potential sanctions, politically exposed persons (PEPs), and adverse media risks to help protect the organization and ensure regulatory compliance. Success is defined by accurate case analysis, strong documentation, and timely escalation of potential risks. Review first-level name screening alerts related to sanctions, PEPs (Politically Exposed Persons), and adverse media Conduct due diligence using internal systems and external research databases to assess potential matches Document investigative findings clearly and thoroughly within case management systems Escalate confirmed or high-risk matches to senior compliance staff in accordance with established procedures Support remediation efforts, operational screening projects, and process improvements as needed Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience 1+ year of experience reviewing sanctions, PEP, adverse media, or financial crime screening alerts Strong written communication skills with the ability to document clear, well-supported investigative findings Core Tools & Systems Case management and screening platforms Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel External research and watchlist databases Web-based compliance and documentation systems Preferred Skills Familiarity with AML (Anti-Money Laundering), BSA (Bank Secrecy Act), and sanctions regulatory standards Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze customer data against watchlists Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment Legal Notice This position requires successful completion of pre-employment screening, which may include a background check and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws.
