Job Description

Description We are looking for an AML Analyst to support contract-based compliance operations in McLean, Virginia. This Contract position focuses on examining customer activity, identifying unusual transaction patterns, and helping ensure financial records meet anti-money laundering standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of regulatory reporting requirements related to large cash transactions.
Responsibilities:
  • Review customer account documentation and transaction activity to identify reportable cash movements and unusual behavior.
  • Analyze transactions exceeding established thresholds and determine whether escalation or regulatory reporting is required.
  • Examine account patterns for potential indicators of money laundering or other suspicious financial activity.
  • Prepare accurate case documentation to support compliance findings, decisions, and audit readiness.
  • Partner with internal compliance and operations teams to clarify account activity and gather supporting information.
  • Maintain consistent adherence to anti-money laundering procedures, regulatory expectations, and internal review standards. Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Honours degree required.
  • Knowledge of anti-money laundering principles and financial crime review processes.
  • Ability to assess transaction activity with accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to identify patterns and anomalies.
  • Clear written communication skills for documenting findings and compliance-related observations.
  • Ability to manage assigned reviews efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.
