Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Insurance Coordinator to join our Oral Surgery practice. This position plays an important role in helping patients understand their insurance benefits and ensuring claims are processed accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities Provide professional, friendly and compassionate service to patients while helping them navigate their insurance benefits Verify dental and medical insurance eligibility, benefits, coverage, deductibles and annual maximums prior to treatment. Obtain required insurance pre-authorizations and pre-determinations for surgical procedures. Prepare accurate insurance estimates and clearly communicate estimated patient financial responsibility. Submit insurance claims accurately Follow up on outstanding, unpaid, or denied insurance claims Assist with posting and reconciling insurance payments Skills Previous experience as an Insurance Coordinator or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with OMS or similar electronic health record systems is an advantage. Knowledge of dental terminology, coding practices, and health information management principles is beneficial. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff. Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure while providing exceptional customer service in a clinical setting.
