Job Description
Our Case Review Department plays a critical role in transforming intake information into clear, accurate, and actionable case files. This position is responsible for verifying, organizing, and clarifying facts from prospective clients while delivering a high level of professionalism, empathy, and customer service.
This is a high-performance role designed for individuals who take ownership of their work, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are committed to continuous improvement through feedback and coaching. This is NOT a remote position. Position Overview As a Verification - Case Review Specialist, you will receive transferred calls from intake representatives and take full ownership of the verification process. Your responsibility is to build a clear, accurate, and complete narrative of the client's situation by identifying inconsistencies, asking targeted follow-up questions, and documenting information in a way that allows the legal team to quickly understand the case. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to balance efficiency with accuracy while maintaining a compassionate and professional client experience. Core Responsibilities Verify and validate all client-provided information with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Identify inconsistencies, missing information, or discrepancies and resolve them in real time Ask targeted, situation-specific questions to build a clear and complete timeline of events Take ownership of each call by ensuring all required data points are addressed before completion Create organized, thorough call summaries that allow other team members to quickly understand the case Maintain a structured workflow while navigating multiple systems and screens simultaneously Provide a high level of customer service while managing expectations and guiding clients through the verification process Demonstrate empathy and professionalism when speaking with clients who may be frustrated, emotional, or experiencing hardship Proactively create follow-up tasks and conduct outbound calls to obtain missing information or documentation Maintain productivity and accuracy during high-volume workloads and extended shifts Performance Expectations Consistently produce accurate, complete, and well-documented case files Balance speed with precision without sacrificing quality Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills when encountering conflicting or unclear information Maintain professionalism and composure in challenging conversations Actively apply coaching and feedback to improve performance Show a high level of accountability, ownership, and attention to detail in all work Required Skills & Qualifications Experience in a highly detail-oriented environment such as Personal Injury, Workers' Compensation, SSD/Disability, or Mass Tort litigation Strong critical thinking and fact-finding abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Above-average computer proficiency, including the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously Accurate and efficient real-time data entry, including the ability to quickly locate and verify medical facilities and physicians online, while actively engaging with clients Ability to multitask across multiple monitors and workspaces without losing accuracy or focus Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly
