Job Summary Elite Pain Doctors is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Prior Authorization & Verification Specialist to join our healthcare team. Key Responsibilities Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility prior to scheduled services Obtain, submit, and track prior authorization requests for procedures, diagnostics, and medications Communicate with insurance providers, patients, and medical staff regarding authorization status Review clinical documentation to ensure it meets payer requirements for approvals Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the electronic health record (EHR) system Follow up on pending, delayed, or denied authorizations and resolve issues promptly Ensure compliance with payer policies, federal regulations, and internal procedures Collaborate with billing, coding, and clinical teams to minimize claim denials Stay informed on insurance guidelines, payer updates, and authorization requirements

Qualifications Required:

High school diploma or equivalent 1-3 years of experience in prior authorization, insurance verification, or medical office operations Strong knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes Experience with EHR/EMR systems and Microsoft Office Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred:

Experience in a healthcare setting (clinic, outpatient facility, or hospital) Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding

Pay:

$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
