Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Insurance Clerk to join our team. In this vital role, you will manage healthcare claims, process medical billing, and ensure accurate coding for insurance reimbursements. Your expertise will help streamline our billing operations, improve patient service, and support the overall efficiency of our practice. Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits to facilitate accurate billing and collections Follow up on unpaid or denied claims to ensure timely resolution and payment Communicate effectively with patients regarding their insurance questions and billing inquiries Stay updated on health insurance policies, healthcare claims management procedures, and relevant coding regulations Qualifications Strong knowledge of health insurance processes, medical terminology, and medical records management Familiarity with
DRG, CPT
coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, ICD coding standards, and medical billing practices Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and professionally Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Prior experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred Join our team to contribute your expertise in medical billing.
