JOB SUMMARY
The Claims Call Center Technician provides clerical and administrative service and assistance to all internal and external customers for claim customer service excellence.
SPECIFIC
Duties include: Receives incoming status line calls from claimants, providers, insureds, agents, and attorneys for the department Calls insured/claimant or agent for missing information Enters agency checks into claim application Enters glass claims into claim application Processes medical EOBs Supports automobile subrogation processes Performs various tasks and other administrative processes for Workers Compensation area Provides a variety of duties in full support of the claim department as assigned Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned or directed by management.
CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS
Education Requirements:
Applicants must possess a general equivalency or high school diploma; associate degree preferred Skills /
Competencies:
Strong customer service orientation and demonstrated ability in dealing with a variety of people Demonstrated proficient computer software knowledge and data entry at a rate sufficient to perform duties of the position Demonstrated proficient phone system, fax machine, calculator, and other applications specific to the position Moderate math abilities and basic accounting skills Proficient interpersonal relations and communications skills both written and verbal Demonstrated eye for detail General knowledge of insurance and an understanding of claim handling process Demonstrated organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills Minimum of one years' experience in related position(s).
