Job Description
Job Description Claims Counsel Job Summary Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Claims Counsel to join a Claims Advocacy Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting clients, managing claims processes, and contributing to business development efforts.
Compensation Package Salary Range:
$110,000 - $140,000 annually Comprehensive benefits packageResponsibilities Claims Advocacy:
Monitor and track claim statuses. Review claims reports for accuracy and completeness. Consult with and update clients on claim statuses, open items, and progress. Identify concerning claims issues and negotiate with insurers' claims professionals to ensure proper claim trajectories.Claims Reporting:
Assist with Bordereau reports.Legal Research:
Conduct research on case law and updated rulings affecting coverage. Analyze jury verdicts and report on litigation trends.TPA Monitoring:
Support clients with claims, particularly in workers' compensation, auto, and general liability. Attend periodic claims status and TPA partnership meetings.Commercial Lines:
Assist client service teams and contribute to business development efforts. Attend new business meetings and develop opportunities. Address coverage questions and assist with contract reviews.Qualifications/Requirements Education:
Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctorate required.Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in civil litigation or similar legal practice. Prior knowledge of claims and litigation management (preferred). Experience with insurance claims and litigation. Possession of a property & casualty license (preferred). #LI-JS1Benefits
