Job Description Senior Claims Counsel Job Summary Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Claims Counsel to join a dynamic Claims Advocacy Team. This role is pivotal in providing expert claims management, advocacy, and consultation services to a clients. The ideal candidate will bring a strong legal background, exceptional analytical skills, and a collaborative mindset to ensure the highest level of service and support. C ompensation Package Competitive salary commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance Professional development opportunities Responsibilities As a Senior Claims Counsel, your key responsibilities will include:
Claims Advocacy:
Monitoring and tracking claim statuses to ensure timely resolution. Reviewing claims reports for accuracy and completeness. Consulting with and updating clients on the status and progress of their claims. Identifying concerning claims issues and negotiating with insurers' claims professionals to set claims on the proper trajectory.
TPA Monitoring:
Assisting clients with claims Third-Party Administrators (TPAs), particularly in workers' compensation matters. Attending periodic claims status meetings and TPA partnership meetings.
Commercial Lines:
Supporting client service teams and contributing to business development efforts. Participating in new client acquisition meetings and identifying growth opportunities.
Personal Lines:
Assisting with personal lines claims matters as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements Education:
Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctorate required.
Experience:
Minimum of five years of experience in civil litigation, workers' compensation, or a similar legal practice. Proven expertise in claims and litigation management. Strong background in insurance claims, litigation, and workers' compensation. Possession of a property & casualty license is preferred. #LI-JS1
