JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Responsible for compliant, accurate and productive processing of claims for the Regional Business Office (RBO). Identifies and forwards claims issues/errors to ensure a clean claim submission. Serves as a resource for staff as needed.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The Regional Business Office is responsible for the accurate and timely follow-up on claims for services provided at all lines of business in all service locations.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent required. College preferred. Two (2) years collection, finance/accounting or medical billing experience required. One (1) year experience equivalent to an SHS Ebiller level I role required. Two (2) years medical business office experience preferred. Experience or training in the following preferred: EPIC Software. ICD-9 or CPT. Medical Terminology.
