Job Description We offer a merit-based work-from-home program based on job responsibilities. After initial training in-person, this specific role could have the flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week. Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an experienced PIP Claims Representative. The position requires the following but is not limited to: Investigate and assemble facts, determine policy coverage, evaluate the amount of loss, and pay benefits that are owed. Review medical bills, authorize payments and ensure payments are issued in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with the Michigan No Fault Statute. Work toward the resolution of claims, and attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials as necessary. Service the needs of agents, policyholders and others. Handle investigations by phone and mail. Conduct claim investigations on complex claims. Desired Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Two or more years of insurance claims handling experience, preferably in PIP claims or related experience. Educational coursework in insurance are desirable. Above average communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to resolve complex issues. Organize and interpret data. Ability to handle multiple assignments with attention to detail.
