We're seeking an experienced GIS consulting leader to guide large-scale transformation initiatives focused on network modeling, enterprise GIS platforms, and operational improvements. In this highly visible role, you'll partner with utility stakeholders, lead consulting engagements from strategy through execution, and help shape solutions that improve business performance. This opportunity combines client advisory, project leadership, team mentorship, and business growth responsibilities. About the Opportunity Join a growing consulting team dedicated to helping organizations improve asset management, network visibility, and operational effectiveness through modern GIS solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with leadership teams, influence strategic initiatives, and contribute to complex programs that impact critical infrastructure operations. You'll play a key role in developing trusted client relationships while helping organizations adopt scalable geospatial technologies and best practices. What You'll Do Strategic Consulting & Client Advisory Help organizations define and execute GIS and utility modernization strategies.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to understand operational goals and challenges
- Lead workshops, discovery sessions, and strategic planning discussions
- Translate business objectives into practical technology and process recommendations
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients throughout project lifecycles Program & Project Leadership Drive successful delivery of enterprise consulting engagements.
- Oversee multiple initiatives from planning through implementation
- Guide requirements analysis, solution planning, and deployment strategies
- Monitor project progress, manage key deliverables, and support successful outcomes
- Align cross-functional teams around business priorities and project objectives Utility Network & GIS Solutions Provide expertise in modern geospatial platforms and utility workflows.
- Advise on utility network design, implementation, and operational adoption
- Support data governance, modeling, and geospatial information management efforts
- Help organizations maximize the value of enterprise GIS platforms and applications
- Recommend approaches that improve visibility, reliability, and business processes Leadership & Business Growth Contribute to organizational success beyond project delivery.
- Mentor consultants and technical professionals across the team
- Support proposal development, solution estimation, and client presentations
- Build and strengthen long-term client relationships
- Participate in industry events, thought leadership initiatives, and professional communities What You Bring
- Background leading consulting engagements, technology programs, or business transformation initiatives
- Experience working with utility organizations or infrastructure-focused environments
- Knowledge of geospatial technologies and enterprise GIS platforms
- Ability to communicate effectively with executives, operational teams, and technical stakeholders
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into actionable solutions
- Strong relationship-building, presentation, and facilitation skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, guide teams, and deliver results in dynamic environments
- Typically brings several years of experience supporting large-scale utility, GIS, or enterprise technology projects
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and professional experience Nice to Have
- Experience with utility network modeling and modern network management practices
- Familiarity with electric, gas, water, or other infrastructure industries
- Experience designing or supporting enterprise geospatial applications
- Knowledge of GIS data architecture, governance, and lifecycle management
- Prior experience mentoring consultants, analysts, or technical teams
- Exposure to business development, account growth, or client-facing consulting activities
