Our Woburn, MA based client in the insurance space is looking for a highly experienced Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Representative to join their dynamic claims team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee complex workers' compensation claims, ensuring accurate adjudication, effective negotiation, and compliance with all relevant insurance laws and regulations. Your expertise will help facilitate fair and timely resolution of claims while maintaining exceptional customer service standards. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of liability insurance claims processing, workers' compensation law, and regulatory compliance, contributing to the overall efficiency and integrity of our claims operations. This will be a Mon-Fri traditional office hours position with three days in office and two days working remotely from him. Salary will be in the $80-100K and there will be a full slate of benefits being offered to include H/D/V/L Insurance, 401K w/match, PTO and much more)

Key Responsibilities:

Intake & Transcription:

Secure all required claims information upon initial contact and transcribe data for file creation and management review.

Claimant Communication:

Conduct timely follow-up contact with claimants via telephone or written correspondence to ensure all necessary reporting information is submitted.

Investigation & Evidence Gathering:

Collect pertinent information from witnesses, law enforcement, and medical providers; secure medical bills and necessary proofs of loss for rapid, effective settlement.

Coverage & Authority:

Determine policy coverage and request/issue claim payments under specified authority limits while providing documentation for management tracking.

Field Investigations:

Execute required field investigations to achieve prompt and equitable claim settlements.

Compliance & Special Projects:

Ensure all managed claims meet established service standards and fulfill any other assigned duties or projects.

Qualifications Needed:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional ability to handle distressed or impatient claimants while maintaining client credibility and long-term business relationships. Strong task-management skills with a focus on timely completion. Minimum of 5 years of claims handling experience (workers' compensation or bodily injury experience preferred). Completion of at least one AIC or AEI source program (or equivalent considerable work experience). College degree required (or equivalent work experience considered).
