Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented WFH Billing Collections Coordinator to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing billing and collections processes remotely, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement for medical services. Your proactive approach will help optimize revenue cycles, resolve billing discrepancies, and maintain excellent communication with insurance providers, patients, and internal teams. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to healthcare claims management while working from the comfort of your home. Duties Review and process medical claims using advanced billing software and EMR/EHR systems to ensure accuracy and completeness. Follow up on unpaid or partially paid claims by contacting insurance companies, patients, or other payers to secure outstanding payments. Verify patient information, insurance details, and coding accuracy including DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding standards. Resolve billing discrepancies by analyzing medical records, medical coding, and healthcare claims management data. Maintain detailed documentation of collection activities, payment histories, and correspondence in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with medical office staff to update patient records and ensure proper documentation of services rendered. Stay informed about health insurance policies, medical terminology updates, and changes in billing regulations to ensure compliance. Skills Strong knowledge of medical billing processes, including familiarity with
DRG, CPT
coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding standards, and healthcare claims management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel for reporting and record keeping. Experience using billing software along with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems for efficient claim processing. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with insurance representatives and patients. Deep understanding of health insurance policies, medical terminology, and medical records management. Ability to analyze complex medical data accurately and resolve billing issues promptly. Prior experience in a medical office environment or healthcare claims management is highly preferred.
