Join our dedicated team at Mt. West Family Health Center as a Prior Authorization and Referral Specialist and make a meaningful difference in the lives of the patients we serve.
What You'll Do:
As a key member of our administrative care team, you will: Coordinate and secure prior authorizations for medications, imaging, and procedures Manage all outgoing referrals to specialists, ensuring timely follow-up and complete documentation Work closely with providers and insurance companies to streamline care and avoid delays Respond to patient inquiries with professionalism and compassion Maintain accurate records in our electronic medical record (eClinicalWorks) system Protect patient confidentiality and stay up to date on changing insurance guidelines
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate's preferred) 1-2 years of experience in prior authorizations or referral coordination (family practice preferred) Strong understanding of insurance verification and managed care Proficient in EMR use (eClinicalWorks experience a plus) Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and patient privacy protocols
