DebtBlue is growing - and we're looking for a driven, Settlement Processing Specialist to join our Negotiations department and play a critical role in ensuring settlements are processed accuratley, efficiently, and according to our quality standards. Duties & Responsibilities Audit negotiated settlements for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company procedures Lock new settlements once the required audit has been completed and the settlement meets processing requirements Call creditors or third parties to process settlement payments when required. Process payoffs for active settlements when sufficient client funds are available or when a payoff is requested. Contact creditors or third parties to confirm payoff amounts and requirements before completing an active settlement payoff. Request proof of payment for active settlements when documentation is needed to confirm payment completion. Follow up with creditors or third parties as needed to obtain requested proof of payment. Manage multiple negotiations while consistently meeting performance and productivity goals. Qualifications and Educational Requirements High School Diploma or GED (required) 1+ year of experience in a transactional or financial operations role (required) Experience handling time-sensitive financial tasks such as processing payments, reviewing transactions, or managing account information Familiarity working alongside creditors, lenders, financial institutions, or vendors
