Job Description
Commercial Lines Account Manager $65,000-$85,000 We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join an established insurance organization serving clients throughout Michigan. This is a strong opportunity for a well-rounded Commercial Lines professional who enjoys building lasting client relationships, taking ownership of accounts, and providing dependable service throughout the insurance cycle. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a diverse commercial book and be comfortable working directly with clients, producers, carriers, and underwriters. This role offers the opportunity to become a trusted resource for clients while continuing to grow professionally within the insurance industry. Responsibilities Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with commercial clients. Serve as a trusted insurance resource and provide responsive, knowledgeable service. Review commercial accounts, including coverage, limits, exposures, and program structure. Prepare new business and renewal applications and coordinate marketing submissions. Develop client proposals, renewal presentations, and coverage comparisons. Manage day-to-day servicing of assigned accounts, including endorsements, Certificates of Insurance (COIs), invoices, and policy documentation. Work with carriers and underwriters to obtain quotes, resolve issues, and ensure appropriate coverage. Maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers and key markets. Participate in client renewal meetings and contribute to renewal strategy. Collaborate with producers, clients, carriers, and internal teams to keep accounts moving efficiently. Maintain accurate and organized account documentation. Proactively identify opportunities to improve the client experience and add value to existing accounts. Qualifications 3+ years of Commercial Lines Account Management experience. Strong knowledge of Commercial Property & Casualty coverages and markets. Experience servicing a diverse range of commercial accounts. Active Property & Casualty insurance license. Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-management skills. Ability to manage multiple accounts and competing priorities while meeting deadlines. Detail-oriented, dependable professional with a strong commitment to client service. Comfortable taking ownership of accounts and working independently while contributing to a team.
