Job Description

The Carballo Agencies is an exclusive Allstate agency in Fort Lee, New Jersey. We write auto, home, condo, renters, umbrella, life, and commercial, and we're growing our sales team. Why Now? Allstate in New Jersey We're hiring a driven, experienced sales professional for an in-office producer seat. If you want a role with real lead flow, proven systems, a guaranteed base, and uncapped earning potential, we'll set you up to win. Who We're Looking For This is a professional, phone-focused sales role — not retail or transactional sales. To be a fit, you'll have one of the following: At least 1 year of insurance sales experience, or 2+ years in a professional sales role — phone-based or consultative selling (financial services, B2B, telesales, mortgage, real estate, or similar). You're comfortable working the phones all day, you know how to manage a pipeline, and you ask for the close. If you've carried a quota and hit it, we want to talk. Compensation $50,000 annualized base ($24/hour), guaranteed — plus uncapped commission.
Expected first-year total compensation:
$72,000-$105,000, depending on performance. Commission is uncapped — there's no ceiling on what you can earn above that range. The recent Allstate repricing in NJ means stronger close rates and a more achievable path to those numbers. We also invest in marketing behind every producer, scaling with your production — up to $2,500 per month once you're producing at target. Licensing You don't need to be licensed to apply — but you'll need an active NJ Property & Casualty license to sell. This position is contingent on obtaining your NJ P&C license before your start date. We provide study materials and support, and candidates who move with urgency on licensing thrive here. (If you're already licensed, even better — you'll ramp faster.) What You'll Do Once licensed, you'll work the phones in a professional, fully in-office environment, speaking with customers about auto, home, renters, and related insurance products. Day to day, that means: Conducting consultations to assess each customer's coverage needs Presenting and clearly explaining policy options Quoting, closing, and binding policies using our established systems Following a structured, repeatable sales process supported by our CRM tools This is a phone-focused role with consistent inbound and outbound sales opportunities — no cold-knocking doors. Frequently Asked Questions Do I need to be licensed to apply? No — but you must obtain your active NJ Property & Casualty license before your start date. We provide study materials and support. What experience do I need? At least 2 years of insurance sales experience, or 3+ years in a professional sales role (phone-based or consultative). This is a professional sales environment, so retail or transactional sales experience alone won't be a fit. Do you provide leads, or do I generate my own? We provide and pay for your leads — internet leads, requote and winback lists, and direct mail. What CRM or systems will I use? You'll work within Allstate's quoting and policy management platforms, supported by our internal CRM tools. Full training provided. What does the ramp-up period look like? You'll start with onboarding and licensing. Once licensed, you'll move into full production — quoting, presenting, and closing using our proven sales process. Do I need prior Allstate experience? No. But you must meet the sales-experience requirement above and be comfortable in a phone-based environment. Is there room for growth? Yes. High performers take on larger books of business and expanded responsibilities within the agency. How does your hiring process work?
