Work Schedule:
This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Albany, NY, requiring an in-office presence three days per week to foster collaboration, professional development, and strong partnerships across teams. - Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Account Management team, fostering a culture aligned with NFP's PeopleFirst values, including respect, inclusion, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide day-to-day guidance and direction to team members, ensuring clarity of roles, priorities, and expectations.
- Monitor team workload and capacity, proactively balancing assignments and determining readiness to take on new clients and opportunities.
- Establish clear performance expectations, conduct regular check-ins, and deliver ongoing coaching and feedback to support individual and team success.
- Partner with team members on career development, including goal setting, skill-building, and succession planning aligned with business needs.
- Join strategic, renewal, or difficult client meetings as needed to support the team, strengthen relationships, and ensure effective outcomes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 10+ years of Commercial Lines account management experience desiredDemonstrated leadership experience including staff management, performance management, coaching, training, and operational oversight.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex information and tailor messaging to different audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex client and team-related challenges.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across teams, leadership, clients, and carrier partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel; experience with agency management systems (EPIC preferred).
Certificates, Licenses, Registration:
- P&C Insurance License required
- Professional insurance designation required.
