Job Description
Job Summary Choices Insurance Agency is seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Licensed Commercial Lines Account Coordinator to join our growing commercial insurance team. This is primarily a client service and account support position focused on providing exceptional service to our commercial insurance clients and supporting our Commercial Lines team throughout the policy lifecycle. Responsibilities include processing policy changes, issuing certificates of insurance, assisting with renewals, communicating with clients and insurance carriers, and maintaining accurate account documentation. The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-focused, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and has at least a basic understanding of commercial insurance. This position offers an opportunity to expand your commercial insurance knowledge and grow into a Commercial Lines Account Manager role over time. Duties Provide responsive, professional service to existing commercial insurance clients. Process client requests including policy changes, endorsements, certificates of insurance (COIs), evidence of insurance, and other policy documentation. Assist with the commercial lines renewal process, including gathering updated information from clients, preparing renewal applications and questionnaires, and following up on outstanding items. Communicate with insurance carriers and underwriters regarding policy changes, documentation, billing questions, and routine account servicing needs. Review policies, endorsements, and other insurance documents for accuracy and follow up on discrepancies when necessary. Assist clients with billing, audit, certificate, and policy-related questions. Obtain loss runs and other information needed for renewals and account servicing. Maintain accurate and detailed client records, activities, correspondence, and documentation within the agency management system. Work closely with Commercial Lines Account Managers and producers to ensure client requests and renewal activities are completed accurately and on time. Identify potential coverage concerns or additional insurance needs and bring them to the attention of the appropriate Account Manager or producer. Develop knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, carrier requirements, and agency procedures with the opportunity to take on increased account management responsibilities over time. Requirements Active Property & Casualty Insurance License required. At least 1 year of insurance experience preferred ; commercial lines experience is a plus. Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize multiple requests and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable communicating directly with clients, insurance carriers, underwriters, and coworkers. Basic understanding of commercial insurance policies and terminology preferred. Strong computer skills and ability to learn agency management systems and carrier platforms. Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment. Professional, dependable, and committed to providing a high level of client service.
