Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented insurance professional to join our agency as a Personal & Commercial Lines Account Manager. This role is designed for an individual who will initially manage and service both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines accounts, with a structured transition toward becoming a Commercial Lines Account Manager. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional client service, support agency growth through account retention and cross-selling opportunities, and develop the technical knowledge and industry expertise necessary to manage a growing commercial insurance book of business. Key ResponsibilitiesPersonal Lines Responsibilities (Initial Focus) Service and manage a portfolio of Personal Lines clients, including auto, home, umbrella, recreational vehicle, and other personal insurance products. Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and reinstatements. Review coverage needs and identify gaps in protection. Prepare and deliver insurance proposals and renewal reviews. Respond promptly to client inquiries regarding coverage, billing, claims, and policy servicing needs. Maintain accurate client records within the agency management system. Assist producers with new business quotes, submissions, and policy implementation. Identify cross-selling and account-rounding opportunities. Commercial Lines Responsibilities Assist with servicing commercial accounts, including general liability, commercial property, business auto, workers' compensation, umbrella, cyber, professional liability, and other business insurance products. Process certificates of insurance, endorsements, audits, policy changes, and renewals. Prepare renewal submissions and gather underwriting information. Communicate with carriers regarding account servicing needs and underwriting requirements. Review policies for accuracy and coverage adequacy. Support producers and account managers in maintaining commercial client relationships. Assist with marketing accounts and obtaining competitive carrier quotes. Participate in renewal strategy discussions and client review meetings. Commercial Account Manager Development As knowledge and experience grow, the employee will transition into increased responsibility for commercial accounts by: Managing an assigned book of commercial business. Conducting coverage reviews and risk management discussions with business owners. Leading renewal processes and developing renewal strategies. Building direct relationships with commercial clients and carrier partners. Managing marketing efforts for new and renewal business. Providing consultative recommendations to help clients protect and grow their businesses. Becoming a subject matter expert in commercial insurance products and coverages. QualificationsRequired Active Property & Casualty Insurance License or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Customer service-oriented mindset. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and agency management systems. Preferred 1-3+ years of insurance agency experience. Experience in Personal Lines and/or Commercial Lines account management. Familiarity with insurance carrier portals and rating platforms. Applied Epic, HawkSoft, AMS360, EZLynx, or similar agency management system experience. CIC, CISR, CRM, or other industry designations (or willingness to pursue).
