Overview We are seeking a motivated, high-integrity Life and Health Insurance Agent to join our team. In this role you will be explaining products to potential clients, offering life insurance, short-term disability and other supplemental products. The ideal candidate holds an active state license (license must be obtained within 30 days of hire) and possesses a proven track record of empathetic consulting, closing sales, and building long-term relationships. Duties Engage with potential clients through phone calls. - No cold calls Conduct thorough client consultations to assess their insurance needs across health, life, property, casualty, and commercial insurance sectors. Present and explain various insurance policies clearly, highlighting benefits and coverage options to facilitate informed decision-making. Negotiate policy terms with clients to ensure mutual satisfaction while aligning with company guidelines and insurance regulations. Manage sales administration tasks such as updating CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems, processing applications, and maintaining detailed client records. Build strong customer relationships through ongoing communication, exceptional service, and personalized benefits administration support. Stay informed about industry updates, HIPAA compliance standards, and changes in insurance regulation to ensure accurate advice and compliance. Occasional travel is required. Requirements Valid state license as an Insurance Agent with active certification in health & life insurance. Valid state license is not required for hire but will need to be obtained within 30 days of hire Experience in outside sales Knowledge of insurance products including short-term disability, life insurance and other supplemental products Familiarity with CRM systems such as Microsoft Office suite for documentation and analysis purposes. Demonstrated customer service excellence with the ability to build lasting client relationships. Analysis skills to evaluate client needs effectively and recommend suitable policies aligned with insurance regulation standards. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and compliance standards such as HIPAA.
