This is an in-office sales position for someone who enjoys meeting people, building relationships, and creating new business. We're looking for someone who wants to build their own book of business rather than simply wait for leads to come in. What You'll Do Your primary responsibility will be generating and closing new insurance business. You'll build your pipeline through: Networking and developing referral relationships with real estate agents, mortgage lenders, car salespeople, and other local professionals Attending networking events and becoming involved in the local business community Cold calling and prospecting for new clients Following up consistently with prospects and referral partners Quoting and selling personal insurance, including home and auto Identifying opportunities for additional insurance products Building long-term relationships that generate repeat business and referrals Schedule Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM In-office position in Roanoke, Virginia Licensing Requirement A Virginia Property & Casualty insurance license is required before your first day of employment. Candidates who are not currently licensed are welcome to apply, but they must successfully obtain their P&C license before their start date.
